Light rolling and direct cornering behavior The review refers to the Racing Ray 29x2.35 SuperGround Speedgrip. Previously, I rode a whole season on the Rocket Ron and was satisfied with it. When I had to replace the tire, I wanted to try something new again. So now I have the Racing Ray on the front wheel. I noticed that it rolls quieter and actually has less rolling resistance. I had to get used to it in terms of handling at first. Especially at the entrance to corners, it is more direct. I would generally describe the grip as comparable to the Rocket Ron, both for braking traction and corner stability. That means it performs well on solid surfaces (dirt and grass), on road surfaces as well, and it’s okay on loose gravel too. In mud and over wet roots, a delicate touch is required.

I have more grip in the front with the Race than with the Ground. Therefore, I will not buy this one again.

Very satisfied I switched from Rocket Ron to Racing Ray. 29x2.35 Superground / Speedgripp I have the tire on the front wheel and unexpectedly have a lot of grip. The tire provides a secure feeling. I ride the tire with Aerothan tubes at 1.2 bar. On the rear wheel, I have the Racing Ralph Superground / Speed. This tire is definitely the weakest link on the bike now. With the security on the front wheel, you naturally ride faster and then realize that the Ralph is reaching its limits. Ray is a good choice; consider pairing it with the Ralph.
