Der Schwalbe Marathon ist mit einer GreenGuard-Einlage aus 3 mm hochelastischem Naturkautschuk sehr gut pannengeschützt. Er genießt den guten Ruf als Original und Urvater aller hochwertigen Tourenreifen. Dabei wird bei dem GreenGuard auf Nachhaltigkeit geachtet, da er zu einem Drittel aus recycelten Latexprodukten besteht. Die Lebensdauer wird durch Anti-Aging-Seitenwände erhöht, die die typischen Überlastungen durch zu geringen Luftdruck sehr lange ertragen, bevor sie Risse bekommen.
Der Schwalbe Marathon ist grundsätzlich geeignet für E-Bikes bis 25 km/h (E-25), die gängigen Grössen verfügen zusätzlich über eine Zulassung für schnelle E-Bikes bis 50km/h Unterstützung (E-50).

can drive on a mine i've owned many marathon tyres for years now and had to drive on glass a few times in the city, had cuts on the tyre for unknown reasons, i only every change them when they are worn

Durable and puncture-proof I mainly ride the Schwalbe Marathon on my E-bike with a 26-inch rear wheel, where weight plays a minor role. What matters much more to me is puncture safety and high mileage. With the last tire, I reached 9,534 kilometers without a single flat. These are excellent performance figures, considering that the E-bike weighs around 42 kg (total weight with rider and luggage up to 150 kg) and is driven at speeds close to the 50 km/h threshold. However, I have also had tires that had a noticeable slight imbalance at higher speeds.

NOT 26 inches... Although the tire is sold here as 26 inches, it is not 26 inches but rather a strange intermediate size. The exact number designation is 37 (width) - 590 (outer circumference or something like that). Normal 26 inches is 559. Please be sure to check with your bike. (Now I have a tire that doesn't fit, but returning it is also pointless...)
