The Pletscher side stand is a classic in bicycle construction; however, it requires the so-called "Pletscher plate" behind the bottom bracket to which the rear fender can also be attached. The genius of this welded mounting point is that the stand doesn't get in the way while pedaling, and the frame's paint isn't damaged when it’s attached. It is recommended to secure the robust stand screw with Loctite or linseed oil so that it doesn’t come loose due to the vibrations from folding and unfolding. To ensure that the bike is at the correct angle with the stand extended, the stand needs to be shortened first using a hacksaw. To do this, measure the distance from the ground to the Pletscher plate. There is a scale on the stand. You cut at the determined value. It’s simple, but you have to know it, as no instruction manual comes with the stand.

Product is good, the description is not I give two stars because the product is actually good, but the description specify that the rubber boot will be gifted to you. Well they sent me a second one with the same issue. Please change the description.
